TRACKS FOR THE CONFERENCE:
How do we incorporate faith into the clinical setting in an ethical way? This will include talks surrounding making faith practices a part of treatment, appropriate evaluation of one's faith and how it influences their mental health, and what are the ethical implications of making faith a part of treatment.
How do you start and grow a faith-based practice? How do you market and network with Christian organizations? This track is all about making faith a part of the business side of your practice. Other possible topics are setting your fees, establishing values, writing copy surrounding your faith-based practice, etc.
How do we make faith an action in our lives and in our clinical work? This track covers the experiential side of the conference. We will have professionally led activities such as yoga on the beach, meditation, prayer, and moments of solitude.

Where and when is the Faith in Practice Conference?
We are meeting at the Courtyard Marriott on Jekyll Island, Georgia from April 21st - 24th.
What is the schedule for the conference?
Here is our tentative schedule:
4/21 - 4:00PM - 6:00PM - Check-in
4/21 - 7:00PM - Opening Talk
4/22 - 9:00AM - 5:30PM - 10 Session options as well as a lunch break
4/22 - 5:30PM - Happy Hour hosted by Practice of Therapy
4/23 - 7:30AM - Beach Yoga!
4/23 - 9:00AM - 5:30PM - 10 Session options as well as a lunch break
4/23 - 5:30PM - SURPRISE (working out the details on this event)
4/24 - 9:00 - 12:00PM - Check-out and closing talks
What is the cost of the conference and how do I sign up?
It is $350/ticket. You can go here to purchase your ticket.
What is included in my ticket to the event?
20+ talks from experts about starting and growing a faith-based practice as well as how to work with clients from a faith-based background. Plus, free time with the consultants to pick their brains about your business.
What is not included in my ticket to the event?
You will need to purchase your food and lodging separately. There is a restaurant at the hotel as well as a Starbucks. Jekyll Island is a small island that is easy to get around with many fantastic restaurants.
What is included with my lodging at the hotel?
This hotel is packed with amenities. Here are a few:
Can I bring my family members?
Yes! They are welcome to join you but cannot attend the conference events without a ticket. There is lots to do with kids such as the Sea Turtle Museum on Jekyll Island or the zoo in Jacksonville.
What airport should I fly into?
You can fly into Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) which is an hour drive from Jekyll Island. The Savannah/Hilton Head Airport (SAV) is just over an hour away.
How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
You can rent a car at the airport or look into a transportation van, if you want to rent with your friends. Here are a few options:
Are you still looking for speakers?
We no longer need speakers this year but there is always next year.
Will I benefit from the conference if I am not a faith-based practice owner?
Yes. Even though the conference is mostly tailored to faith-based practice owners, if you do not have a faith-based practice, you will still benefit from learning how to meet the needs of these clients as well as how to market to faith-based businesses such as churches. Plus, there will be some amazing speakers and sponsors to pick their brains.
How many tickets are available?
We have already sold the majority of tickets. We are limiting the event to 100 participants to allow for a more intimate experience as well as to help decrease exposure to COVID.
What are the COVID protocols?
We are asking participants to wear masks while indoors and to take a COVID test prior to arrival. We will continue to monitor COVID protocols as we get closer to the event.
